I'M A SUCKER FOR A MOAT          6-05-2016

This is Baddesley Clinton. It was built in the 1500s, although it is thought people lived on the property from the 1300s. Most of it was left unchanged, although it has been lived in all that time. It has several places for Catholic priests to hide. This property will go into the book I'm writing.

Packwood is full of tapestries. I've always been fascinated by them. They use a cartoon (drawing) that is transferred to the back side. Here is a video that shows a modern one but the process is pretty close to ancient ones.

Packwood House

In 1556 a small farmstead was built and later expanded. The Fetherstons lived here for 300 years. An industrialist spent years in the 20th C doing restoration.
