The Land of Giants

Well, not really. This is the exquisitly detailed miniature village of Bourton on the Water.

It is 1/9th the scale of Bourton and contains all the historic buildings and bridges in the village. It was built to celebrate the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, in 1937. Local craftsmen built everything over a three-year period. It is landscaped with miniature live trees, shrubs and flowers. A full-time maintenance crew works to restore and maintain every aspect of the village.

Imagine what a 3” snow fall would look like here!
